After spending 2 years re-introducing the world to Mr. Mucus we decided to bring him out of the TV screen and into the real world by installing a real-time motion capture billboard at JFK Airport. Using a professional motion capture suit, we rigged the actor who voiced Mr. Mucus with sensors to perform as Mr. Mucus live, letting the animated character call out, heckle, and interact with unsuspecting travelers passing through the terminal, right at the moment they were most vulnerable to catching a cold.
